A Reminder - Make Someone Happy

I took these images of almost biblical scenes of villagers on Benguerra island, Mozambique bringing in the daily catch which is then divided and taken home to provide the daily meal. 

As we all prepare for Easter, I hope you can find a few cast off items to help this wonderful group of people who are living hand to mouth every day.

We have already received some generous donations and would love to add to them over this Easter Holiday.

Portuguese books, dictionaries, pens, notebooks, rulers, all needed!!!

Plus second hand items of clothing for children up to 16.

The inspiring teacher at the only school on the island would very much appreciate some books and stationary for his empty classroom.

Please look in forgotten cupboards and drawers!

We are accepting all donations at Dunas in Quinta do Lago between 10 am and 6pm, and can collect if needed. Please help to give these children a chance.
